SPARK Prizes
The SPARK Prize encourages Early and Mid-Career Researchers to connect with new collaborators during Digital Health Week 2025. The $1500 award supports the development of a joint early-stage research idea sparked through event networking (Feb 3–5, 2026).

A $100 gift voucher for both the successful applicant and their nominated collaborator.
Mentorship
Mentorship from senior digital health leaders associated with the Digital Health and Informatics Network in the 12 months post-award.
Eligiblity
Applicants applying for the Spark Prize must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Be a Higher Degree Research (HDR) student or an early (< 5 years post PhD) or mid-career (5 - 10 years post PhD) researcher at The University of Sydney (at least 0.2 FTE).
Be a member of the Digital Health and Informatics Network.
Not be a member of the Digital Health Week 2025 Organising Committee
Have registered for Digital Health Week 2025 and have attended at least one Digital Health Week 2025 Networking Sessions. Have listed a collaborator on my Award application the applicant met at Digital health Week 2025 and has not previously collaborated with on a research project.
Submit a fully completed SPARK Prize Award Proposal and submission form by the scheme deadline.
Agree to meet all the outputs for the scheme including:
Participation in a proposal refinement workshop with senior digital health leaders at the University of Sydney and members of DHIN Network Leadership Group.
Submission of a progress Update by the end of 2025.
Presentation of a project learnings/outputs presentation to the DHIN.
Submission of a final report no later than two months after the Grant period end date.
