Bio

Associate Professor Peter Steel earned his pre-clinical M.A. (Hons) at Oxford University and his medical degree from University College London-Royal Free Medical School. He completed his emergency medicine residency at New York-Presbyterian-University Hospitals of Columbia & Cornell in New York City and has since practised as a Board-Certified Attending Emergency Medicine Physician at New York-Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medicine.

In his current role as Vice Chair of Clinical Services, Associate Professor Steel oversees clinical services and leads initiatives for operational collaboration, quality improvement, and patient safety across the multi-campus Department of Emergency Medicine and was recognized as Weill Cornell Medical Center’s 2021 Physician of the Year.
